Joplin Area Town and Country Quilters

The Town and Country Quilters of Joplin, Missouri, was established in 1985. Our purpose is to promote the art and craft of patchwork and quilting. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the craft, from beginner to the professional. Annual dues are $15.00. We invite you to visit our general monthly meetings at Peace Lutheran Church on North St. Louis in Joplin Missouri. We meet the 3rd Tuesday every month at noon for a pot luck luncheon. An educational program, show and tell,  and a business meeting start at 1 p.m. You will be a part of a great group of people who share the same interest as you.

Our Next Meeting

The new location is Peace Lutheran Church.  The address is 3100 N. St. Louis Ave. Joplin MO 64801

Our next meeting is on August 21st.

At 10:30 a.m.,  our classroom education portion of the meeting will be led by Jane Wilks speaking about "The Study of an Old Quilt."  This will be a lecture only.

The featured speaker for August will be Barb Eikmeier,  quilt pattern designer, author, fabric designer for Paintbrush Studio, and Craftsy instructor.  Her presentation is titled "Designing Fabrics, Designing Quilts."  She lives in Lansing, Kansas and you can visit her website at to learn more about her and see some of her beautiful patterns, like the Block of the Month "Waddington Road" and gorgeous 30's sampler kit with preprinted panel and coordinating fabrics from her Ruby's Treasurers vintage 30's collection.  This lecture and trunk show should be very impressive and enjoyable.
