come join us in our quilting adventure!

Joplin Area Town and Country Quilters

The Town and Country Quilters of Joplin, Missouri, was established in 1985. Our purpose is to promote the art and craft of patchwork and quilting. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the craft, from beginner to the professional. Annual dues are $20.00. We invite you to visit our general monthly meetings at Peace Lutheran Church on North St. Louis in Joplin Missouri. We meet the 3rd Tuesday every month at noon for a pot luck luncheon. An educational program, show and tell,  and a business meeting start at 1 p.m. You will be a part of a great group of people who share the same interest as you.

Our Next Meeting

The new location is Peace Lutheran Church.  The address is 3100 N. St. Louis Ave. Joplin MO 64801

Our next meeting is on October 16th.

The October program is unique as it is the culmination of the Community Service members of the guild efforts each year.  It will consist of the distribution of handmade items made by the guild members to agencies serving the residents of the four states.  Donations are quilts, burp cloths, receiving blankets, placemats and pillowcases.  Representatives from Area Agency on Aging, Care Net Pregnancy Resource Agency of Neosho, Children's Haven, Children's CenterCrosslines, Lafayette House, Life Choices, and Turn Around Ranch will be our guests.  As they accept their donations, they will explain how they will be put to use to serve their clients.

There is no educational program this month.

As October is a month with a 5th Tuesday, this month we have a community service workday from 9 am to 3 pm at Peace Lutheran Church. We'll be working on stripping and flipping quilt blocks for our community service projects.
